But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.
Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you that this night, before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.”
Peter said to Him, “Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!” And so said all the disciples.
And Peter remembered the word of Jesus who had said to him, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” So he went out and wept bitterly

I don’t know why but I always get so sad when Peter denies Jesus. Every time, I know what is going to happen, and yet I am always rooting that Peter won’t deny him.

I know what you mean! In the Bible study I’m teaching we’re going through the minor prophets. It is amazing how many chances they had to get right with God! I look at my life then, and see that I’ve been just that stubborn.

I love that the Bible gives us so many examples. God did not leave us out here alone. You aren’t the only stubborn one out here Jo Ann. I am as hard headed as they come. Thanking God that He is patient and forgiving.
