I was nominated for ‘Mystery Blogger Award’ and I’d like to thank Tina at Invisible Illnesses for nominating me.  I have been diagnosed with MS and several of my symptoms are invisible, so I enjoy her posts immensely!

  • The “Mystery Blogger Award” is an award for amazing bloggers with ingenious posts. Their blog not only captivates; it inspires and motivates. They are one of the best out there and they deserve every recognition they get. This award is also for bloggers who find fun and inspiration in blogging and they do it with so much love and passion.

The award was created by Okoto Enigma, to give  unseen bloggers a chance to show yourself to the world.

Three things about myself

  1. I’ve  had 11 skin cancer surgeries–all basal cell which is benign.
  2. I have never colored my hair.
  3. I live in a senior living community as a companion to my mother.

      1. Yes, the medication makes such a difference in my friends who started having it during different time. The one who started in early year lost all the mobility from waist down. Another 2, I think 3, who started later, just need walkers. Such as cancer. When I went through chemo, it was aggressive and caused a lot of damage to my nerves on my legs and feet. Now a couple are under different treatments that are less invasive. I’m glad to hear that you’re so blessed.

      2. PS MS can be a very strange disease everyone of us that has it has different symptoms and different levels of disability. I’m sorry to hear about the side effect of your chemo. We take these medicines with four pages of side effects on them. We have to wonder which is worse, the medicine or the side effects.

      3. I had a lengthy conversation with my hubby and daughter. I said, it looks the the drugs would kill me before killing the cancer. I sent out prayer request detailing my thinking and the special “signs” I asked from God to decide which way to go (I don’t normally limit God’s answers). I was in a major cross road. The drugs could have taken me either way. All the signs I asked for manifested, and that was the affirmation I asked from God. Yes, the whole process was like walking through the death valley and came out alive even though I still have side effective, but it’s manageable. In one of my Gratitude Moments posts, I wrote about how my cancer grew. It was like not time to think. There were two loss of family member whose cancers ran faster than the med. I’m grateful for being alive.
