El Shaddai, You are the All-Sufficient One, the Lord God Almighty.[i] El Elyon, you are the Most High God.[ii] I do not want to be “tossed to and fro carried about every wind of doctrine.”[iii] I want to say with David, “Lead me to the rock that is higher than I” and “some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but I will remember the name of the Lord my God.”[iv] I want the kind of faith that Paul talks about in 1 Peter 1:7: “That the genuineness of my faith, being much more precious than gold that parishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” “Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”[v] Because Lord Jesus, You tell me that “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”[vi] All I need is You. Jesus, You are my rock,[vii] my redeemer,[viii] my shield,[ix] my hiding place,[x] my armor,[xi] my fortress,[xii] my Savior,[xiii] my intercessor,[xiv] my Lord,[xv] my King,[xvi] my lamb,[xvii] my lion,[xviii] my friend,[xix] my God,[xx] my teacher,[xxi] my constant companion,[xxii] my all. May my faith continue to be strengthened as it is tested. “For a day in our courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.”[xxiii] Thank You that when I seek You, I will find You, when I search for You with all my heart.[xxiv] In Your precious name, Jesus. Amen!
