Scripture for Sunday

According to Google dictionary homage is defined as special honor or respect shown publicly.  Synonyms include respect, honor, reverence, worship, admiration, esteem, adulation.  All of these words express how our relationship with God our Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit should be.  We respect him because he is Adonai, our Lord. We honor him because he is our Jehovah Nissi, or the banner of love over us.  We revere him because he is El Elyon, the God most high.  We worship him because he is El Olam, the everlasting God. We admire him because he is El Shaddai, the all sufficient one.  We esteem him because he is I AM that I AM.  We give him adulation because He is Jehovah Sabaoth, the Lord of hosts. I have just added a few Scriptures concerning our worship of our loving Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ our deliverer, and the Holy Spirit as we are His temple.

John 4:22-24   “You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.  But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Psalm 29:2  “Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.”

Psalm 45:11  “So the King will greatly desire your beauty; Because He is your Lord, worship Him.”

Psalm 66:4  “All the earth shall worship You And sing praises to You; They shall sing praises to Your name.” Selah

Psalm 95:6  “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.”

Psalm 96:9  “Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness! Tremble before Him, all the earth.”
