Every month or so, I write a blog listing the personal reflection questions I have at the end of each chapter in my book to stimulate inner contemplation and maybe even healing. I will post them periodically for your use only. I am not asking that you share them with me or others, unless you desire to post thought provoking revelations you have received.
My first chapter is called Life Before MS. You can find those questions. here. My second chapter is called Enter MS. Those questions are listed here. The third chapter is titled Shaken Up.
My next chapter is Living Well. (Do you see a pattern developing?) Here are those questions.
If you live with a chronic disease, or know someone who does, or you just want to be healthy, what are some healthy strategies you are using?
How often do you exercise and what is the intensity? Do you feel like you could do more? If so, what would that be?
Describe your other leisure time activities. Such as volunteering, reading, card gamevideo games, boardgames.
Have you received help from physical therapist and/or occupational therapy therapist? What kind of routine did they recommend? Are you still doing the exercises you learned? Why or why not?
We live in a world of fast food, packaged dinners, ready-made foods, and bulk sizes. What does your daily food intake look like?
I’ve heard it said that we should eat the rainbow. Which means fresh fruit and vegetables, lean meats, and whole-grain breads. Are there some changes you can make in your daily diet to line up with that strategy? What with those changes be?
If you or someone you know has a chronic disease, are there suggestions and guidelines from the medical community you can follow? What are those? Are you following those now? Why or why not?
Do you consider yourself spiritual, what does that mean, do you pray, when and about what things? Do you have a church that you belong to? How did you choose it and why?
Did you go to church in your childhood? Would you consider your parents spiritual? Why or why not?
Do you attend church regularly? Why or why not? If you attend church what do you receive from going? Are you involved in any volunteering at your church? Why or why not.
What does having faith mean to you? Do you share your faith in anyway with others? Take some time and list all the ways God has blessed you.
What causes you to grieve? How do you work through the process? Do you feel your grief has negatively impact your life? Describe what your grief looks like.
Write out a prayer that you would like to lift up to the Lord. Thank him for what he has done and ask Him for wisdom and discernment as you make healthy life choices.
Enjoy what I have taken as my theme song!!
Eating the rainbow. I like that concept and I LOVE your theme song. It is just what I needed today.
