“When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13
When we put our faith in Jesus Christ, we go from ordinary to extraordinary.
Ephesians 4:20 says “But you have not so learned Christ, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus; that you put off concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the Spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God in true righteousness and holiness.”
So how do we put on the new man? And how do we renew our mind?
Romans 12:1-2 says “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
And how do we go from ordinary to extraordinary?
John 15:8 says “by this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, so you will be My disciples.” Ephesians 5:22 says “but the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”
I don’t know about you, but I want to live an extraordinary life! And I can do that by the power of the Holy Spirit. “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit. Says the Lord of hosts.” Zechariah 4:6
