Arid–Daily Prompt

Arid can be described as a lack of moisture, resulting from long-standing drought. Spiritual aridity can be defined as devoid of sensible consolation, which causes a difficulty to pray.

However, there is hope! Isaiah 44:3 says “for I will pour out on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground, I will pour out my Spirit on your descendants, and my blessings on your offspring.”

Psalm 23:2 says “He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul, He leads me in the path of righteousness for His name sake.”

John 7:37 says “if anyone who thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

John 4:13 says “whoever drinks of this water (well water) will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

I will never be arid again! Because I drink the water Jesus gives freely to all who asks.
